报告人简介：

       邬建国，博士，教授，美国亚利桑那州立大学生命科学学院与可持续科学学院特聘教授，北京师范大学人与环境系统可持续性科学研究中心创始主任。主要研究领域包括景观生态学、城市生态学、生物多样性与生态系统功能和可持续性科学，发表论⽂350余篇，著作15部，是全球高被引科学家。现任国际著名期刊《Landscape Ecology》主编。曾获中国基金委海外杰出青年称号、美国科学促进会(AAAS)“杰出国际合作奖”、美国景观⽣态学会“杰出景观⽣态学家奖”“杰出服务奖”、国际景观⽣态学会“杰出科学成就奖”、亚利桑那州⽴⼤学20年优秀服务奖等荣誉。2019年当选美国生态学会会士。

报告内容简介:

      Landscape ecology as a field of study has evolved profoundly since Carl Troll coined the term in 1939. Rapid changes and advances started in the late 1970s and early 1980s. One of the most impactful milestones in the history of the field was the Allerton Park Workshop in 1983 which created the blueprint for modern landscape ecology. In this talk, I’ll address the following questions: What are the major advances in landscape ecology during the past 40 years? How has the field evolved in theory, methodology, and applications? What major lessons have we learnt about the field? Great progress has been made, but greater challenges are still ahead.
