As a background, Professor Ji will first briefly introduce FGDC Wetlands Mapping Standard of 2009 and related geospatial mapping standards in the US. He will then discuss his recent research on geospatial decision models for assessing wetland vulnerability at a watershed level. The discussions will cover how to identify geospatial data/analysis – based indicators for related wetland functions, how to develop metrics to evaluate the indicators, and how to organize evaluated metrics into a wetland vulnerability assessment model.
